This second site, located at Campos Salles 2,264, CABA, has an area of 2,538 m2 and 42 new beds, which, together with the beds at Vuelta de Obligado building, bring the total number of beds available to 96.
The project and design of this building was developed by Alvarado Font Sartorio Architecture Studio, one of the most renowned nationwide in the field of healthcare architecture.
The functional areas are distributed in different spaces: Inpatient, Rehabilitation, Special Care Unit and Technical Support Services.
The new facility is linked to and complements Vuelta de Obligado building, for which a master plan was developed that enabled functional integration between both, expanding and improving support areas and common services.
Special emphasis was placed on offering the best patient experience in terms of building quality, technology, infrastructure, convenience and comfort, which, together with medical care quality, make up the highest standard of excellence for the rehabilitation center segment in the country.
Due to the patients’ characteristics, most of them with a prognosis of prolonged hospitalization, special attention was given to creating cozy and comfortable spaces that provide the necessary support, care and stimulation throughout their stay and rehabilitation process. Elements and spaces such as the lighting, the nursing office, floor and bathroom materials were designed with all the safety and support elements for patients with motor difficulties. First class and efficient materials were used, including PVC and padded floors for impacts, in the rehabilitation gyms.
The aesthetics and style of these areas are designed to resemble a comfortable place of everyday life, minimizing the hospital appearance to make them feel at home.
The building is partially sustainable, enabling the saving and efficient consumption of all its resources. All rooms face the front, thus ensuring excellent natural light, which in turn contributes to energy savings.
Different sustainability and environmental protection criteria have been adopted and applied.
Bioclimatic design
Facade with micro-perforated plate that regulates the incidence of the sun’s rays and arrangement of rooms to the front for greater use of natural light.
Energy efficiency
Hermetic double-glazed windows and doors to save energy consumed in air conditioning. Sensors installed in bathrooms and Office for a more efficient water consumption.
Central computerized system
Intelligent light control and automatic air-conditioning temperature regulation throughout the building.
